Dr Catherin Chan completed her veterinary studies with honours in Veterinary Medicine at The University of Queensland in 2099. Following her graduation, Catherine embarked on her professional journey by undertaking a small animal internship at Veterinary Specialist Services in 2010. She subsequently gained experience in both emergency and general practice settings before relocating to Sydney in 2012. There, she pursued a three-year residency in Veterinary Oncology, receiving comprehensive training from accomplished board-certified oncologists and participating in specialized programs at the University of Missouri and Colorado State University. Catherine’s expertise in veterinary oncology is recognized and certified by both the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) and the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS).
Presently Catherine holds the role of director and consultant at The Pet Oncologist, an online veterinary oncology consultancy service. Additionally, she provides valuable oncology referral services at North Coast Veterinary Specialist & Referral Centre. Catherines dedication lies in the treatment of various types of cancer in pets. She prioritizes patient care and extends support to families whose beloved pets are battling cancer. Her unwavering commitment includes actively seeing ways to enhance remission and survival rates for pets with cancer while ensuring an excellent quality of life throughout their treatment.
During her leisure time, Catherine cherished moments spent with her two little boys and cat, and sometimes she likes to spend time with her husband.
