After achieving her Cert IV she worked the fast paced world of emergency nursing. For a change of pace following that she spent the next 2 ½ years traveling. Some of her most exciting adventures included volunteer work in Southeast Asia. Experiences ranged from working at an elephant sanctuary to assisting with mobile dog desexing clinics. Moving on from there Sharna spent time locum nursing in the UK before traveling around Europe. She returned to Australia in 2018 and resumed work in emergency nursing before joining the NCVS team this year as a surgical nurse. She enjoys the challenge in the complexities of the specialist procedures performed here. In her spare time Sharna enjoys spending time in the outdoors, and when the opportunity arrives loves to get out camping with friends.
