INTERNAL MEDICiNE

The internal medicine service at North Coast Veterinary Specialists (NCVS) is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases involving many body systems including the liver, kidneys, stomach, heart, lungs and brain.

The medicine team works closely with the NCVS surgery service and the North Coast Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Team for consultations on difficult cases, or transfers for ongoing care. They also make every effort to give each patient individual and personalised care.

All of the NCVS team are strong believers in making sure that clients are aware of all the options available for any condition and will work hard to explain the disease and the benefits of the various treatments. We strive to achieve excellent patient care and comfort, and try to attain the best possible outcome for each patient.

The staff were extremely compassionate tonight when we brought our cat to them in a very bad way. Sadly we had to say goodbye to our precious girl. They were amazing and went above and beyond to support us in every way possible.

Had an emergency this morning with a suspected snake bite to my 8yo Ginger cat... the staff at North Coast Veterinary Clinic were marvellous....Definitely recommend anyone in a similar situation or emergency to take your fur baby to North Coast Veterinary Specialist and Referral Centre.

I can’t thank Dr Naomi enough for her dedication and professionalism when it came to saving my girl all the while still having such a humble attitude which made the process that bit easier. I would also like to thank the nurses behind the scenes...thanks to this team, can’t recommend them enough.

Couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Our Daschund has had issues with his neck and back for the past 6 weeks, we were referred to them by a friend, got our referral by our local vet. Friendly professional staff and service !!!! A big thank you to Dr Richard for explaining everything to us in layman’s terms and making us feel relaxed and comfortable.
