Originally from Sweden, Amanda came to Australia in 2014 to travel and study. The plan to stay only for the year quickly changed after falling in love with the country, the people and the lifestyle. Today she calls Australia home.
Amanda joined NCVS in August 2015 as a receptionist and has been with the company ever since while also combining studying and some travelling over the years. Without any previous vet industry experience, Amanda had to quickly learn the job from scratch but having the full support and guidance from NCVS, it became an exciting challenge and led to a path of personal growth as well as for her career. Amanda stepped up as a coordinator in 2020. She loves new challenges and being a role model for other team members.
When not at work, Amanda loves the outdoors and enjoys everything the Sunshine Coast has to offer, like hiking, the beaches as well as the local cafes & breweries. When at home, Amanda and her husband are usually busy trying to renovate their first home and spend time with their energetic kelpie.
The best part of working in the vet industry is working alongside very dedicated, passionate and caring vets and nurses who go above and beyond to help our loving pets. The best part about the customer care role is being able to help owners to make their experience with NCVS as easy and enjoyable as possible, especially when times can be tough. Being able to build relationships with clients and being part of their pet’s journey is very beautiful and what makes the job so special.
